Katrina & Rufus @ St. Bartholomews, Burstow & South Lodge

Well it has been a really busy weekend, starting with the wonderful wedding of Katrina and Rufus on Thursday.  Katrina and Rufus had travelled to the UK from the States with many of their family, for their English wedding – a wish Katrina had had for many years – to be married close to where she spent much of her happy childhood with her family.  It was particularly special I’m sure for Katrina to have her Nan present on the day, who remains in Surrey.  We started with getting ready shots at South Lodge Hotel before heading the short distance north to the pretty village of Burstow and the lovely church of St. Bartholomews.  Following the ceremony we returned to South Lodge for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, having taken a ride in a buggy down the lakes – getting some fantastic light shots with the countryside and South Lodge in the background.  Following the wedding breakfast the beautiful white chocolate cake was cut before the speeches, throwing of the bouquet and garter and then into the evening celebrations.
