Tash & Martin @ St. James’ Church, Shere & Vachery, Shere

Last Saturday I was in the beautiful countryside of Surrey and the picturesque village of Shere.  Tash was joined by her bridesmaids and flowergirls and friends to get ready at her parent’s house up on the hill looking down on the stunning view of Shere and the church in which Tash and Martin were married.  The weather started well and we had high hopes …. but were greeted by a downpour when the Ushers opened the church doors for Tash and Martin to leave!  Nevermind – it didn’t last long and by the time we returned to Vachery the rain had stopped for the drinks reception.  Tash and Martin had planned a marque on the lawns and everyone had helped with the lovely finishing touches for the day.  All the men were dressed in morning suit for the day and Tash and Martin were keen for lots of informal, natural shots, which I was delighted to take during the drinks outside and throughout the day.  Following a sit down meal for 140 and the cutting of the luxurious cake, the first dance was held with lights and smoke – orchestrated by Martin – it looked stunning.   Here are a few images from their day.
